Join us for a fun and interactive way to meet new people, network, and learn some new skills.
Getting ready to stretch those social and networking skills? Looking forward to new opportunities but nervous about pitching yourself? You are in luck! Breaking The Glass has partnered with Computer Futures for a Personal Pitch Competition. Computer Futures specializes in placing amazing contract workers at top tech companies. The recruitment team at Computer Futures is excited to share their best practices on how to get interviews and networking ready.
Each attendee will be entered into a double-elimination tournament where they will compete against an opponent to see who has the best “Personal Pitch”. At the end of each round the judge will provide both positive and constructive feedback. The loser will be able to watch the other competitor so they can learn more. The winner will continue until the final round!
Our champion “Pitcher” will win a grand prize and a complimentary resume review session.
Additionally, everyone that RSVPs will receive additional resources to prep for the meeting.

If hiring a diverse workforce were easy, everyone would do it. Knowing how to source and hire marginalized or underrepresented talent in tech is an industry best practice that takes skill and experience to develop. Studies show that companies with diverse teams consistently outperform monolith ones because they have more tools at their disposal for success. Professionals from diverse backgrounds have faced and overcome challenges that make them inherently more valuable assets to a well-rounded business.
Key Talking Points:
The value of hiring outside the box
What IT professionals want in an employer
How to compare two candidates for a role with a diversity lens
What to look for in the mirror of a diverse employer
