Breathwork is not widely known, though many have experienced it. If you have ever taken a deep breath to calm yourself, taken slow smooth breaths for focus during meditation, or felt an intense experience during Kundalini Yoga, then you've practiced one of the many types of breathwork.
Through relaxed and ecstatic breath, we can reduce the role stress plays in our lives, while improving our sense of self and our immune system. Relaxed breathwork has the potential to help reduce anxiety by calming our fight or flight response system. Maintaining a practice of relaxed breathwork can even change how our DNA expresses itself. On the other end of the breathing spectrum, ecstatic breathwork can invigorate the body and mind, while helping various systems of the body perform at a more efficient level.
I started this group to share a number of effective breathing and meditative activities. The sessions can be thought of as an intro to a number of techniques to help gain influence over your body's response to stress. Looking forward to exploring breathwork with everybody.
I've been involved with breathwork since 2016 and I am happy to have the opportunity to share the many techniques I have learned
