Wanna get out and get some exercise and enjoy the nicer weather? Wanna have a picnic in a park with friends and maybe play some games? The Bridgemen are doing another urban hike in San Francisco, this time from the Castro up to Mt Davidson.
Mt Davidson is the highest natural point in San Francisco. Its most notable feature is the 103-foot concrete cross at its crest commemorating the Armenian Genocide in 1915. We’ll meet at Strut (470 Castro St) at 11 AM. For logistical reasons, this will be B.Y.O.L. (Bring Your Own Lunch), so please arrive with your food and beverage, ready to go. From there we’ll hike up to the top and find a spot where we can relax, take in the sweeping view and eat lunch together.
Things to bring:
-- Food and drink for yourself. Remember to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated!
-- Sunscreen and/or a hat.
-- Blanket to sit on (I can bring 3 picnic blankets from Strut; I just need help carrying them all).
-- Games to play and/or toys to play with.
