San Francisco’s Twin Peaks are the second-highest peaks in the City after Mt Davidson, which the Bridgemen recently conquered on an urban hike. The northern peak hosts thousands of tourists daily, drawn to the sweeping vista of the skyline and the bay. With that tourist traffic comes LOTS of litter, which collects on the eastern slope. Sadly, the maintenance routine for this area doesn’t seem to be enough to effectively tackle the volume of litter, giving visitors a bad impression of our lovely city. Perfect circumstances for the Bridgemen!
The Bridgemen will be assisting SF Recreation and Parks Department to clean up this area, picking up trash so that locals and visitors alike can enjoy the view litter-free. And while improving the area, we’ll be treated to one of the best views in the City!
Gloves and tools will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes (we’ll be working on a steep slope), sun protection and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Please wear a Bridgemen T-shirt if you have one. If you don’t yet have a Bridgemen T-shirt, please tell Alex your T-shirt size BEFORE 5 PM, 08/31/18, so that I know to bring one for you.
