Would you like to get out and get some exercise and have a picnic with friends? The Bridgemen and 50-Plus are doing another urban hike in San Francisco! This time it’s Lands End Trail, offering beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the Golden Gate.

Lands End Trail is a moderate 3.5-mile loop trail along Lands End, the wildest, rockiest corner of San Francisco. Sights along the trail include the Sutro Baths ruins, Point Lobos, Mile Rock Lighthouse ruins, a Labyrinth, and numerous overlooks.

We’ll meet at the Lands End Lookout Visitor Center (at the Main Parking Lot off Point Lobos Ave, above the ruins of the Sutro Baths) at 11 AM. This event will be B.Y.O.L. (Bring Your Own Lunch), so please arrive with your food and beverage, ready to go. From there we can hike to Eagles Point, the eastern trailhead, where we can relax, take in the view and eat lunch together. After lunch, we’ll head back to the parking lot.

Things to bring:
-- Food and drink for yourself. Remember to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated!
-- Sunscreen and/or a hat.
-- Jacket and/or layers if it’s chilly.
-- Blanket to sit on (I can bring 3 lightweight picnic blankets from Strut; I just need help carrying them all).
