The Bright Purple Academy (http://www.brightpurple.co.uk/academy/) aims to provide a hub and a community for both technology and non-technology people to come together to learn, have fun and to inspire forward momentum. This city centre state of the art facility, with Wi-Fi and full media communications technology, means the self-contained space is the perfect host for bringing people together.
It's easy to get to, sitting in Rose Street, just off Princes Street and just 10 minutes walk from the main train station at Waverley and of course the tram and bus system takes you right to our door.
What is the group's purpose?
To goal is to provide a facility that disrupts!
We want the academy to challenge thinking and not just accept the norm. We want it to be filled with people who are willing to learn, but are willing to challenge that learning. We want to inspire and excite people. We want to bring people to speak who are not part of the corporate circuit - new faces and fresh thinking.
The academy will provide a home for education, training, discussion and networking with peers.
It is the main home for the Bright Purple People who work for the company and are educated in the centre.
However It will also be made available to certain external group meetings, such as Meet.Up partnerships and organisations who wish to hire the facility (when it's not in use by Bright Purple)
