NOVEMBER 2018 ( OUTDOOR TENNIS - 3 SESSIONS A WEEK WHICH HAVE BEEN RUNNING ALL YEAR ROUND SINCE JANUARY 2017! Currently 641 participants in this TENNIS Meetup group aged 18 to 80. Voted 'excellent' on August 17th, 2018 (Group Reviews) RACQUETS CAN BE BORROWED FREE OF CHARGE OR PURCHASED FOR £15. Come and enjoy 90 minutes of very affordable, very good quality, group TENNIS coaching in a friendly, encouraging and inclusive environment, with qualified coach and former professional Argentinian TENNIS player, SEBASTIAN PUGA [masked]) Brighton & Hove Parks LTA, 2018 Men's Singles and Doubles champion. ( £7.50 payable in cash at the end of the session. A cashpoint is available at Tesco's, next to the tennis courts. Participants are welcome to practice after the Meetup with each other free of charge if there are courts available. Absolute beginners welcome. Session time will be condensed into 1 hour, if 5 or fewer beginners/returners attend. Phone and pay parking is situated alongside the tennis courts. No 27 bus stops outside. Bikes can be chained to the court fencing. Changing and storage facilities, a first aid box, protective sun caps, tap water, cafe and toilets are all available. Our Group Tennis Coaching sessions are available every Friday from 10.15am-11.45am, Saturdays from 12.30pm-2pm and Sundays from 2pm-3.30pm with Argentinian qualified coach and former professional TENNIS player SEBASTIAN PUGA. Seb is currently Brighton & Hove Parks LTA, 2018 Men's Singles and Doubles champion (

Seb provides a fun way to learn a new skill which can give many hours of pleasure. He is also happy to give 1-1 coaching (£30 an hour) or hitting practice (£20 an hour) to any Beginner or Returner who would like a little bit of extra coaching. (Sebastian Puga: 07787647357)

Seb will advise when he feels that you are ready to join our popular IMPROVERS TENNIS group coaching sessions which run every Tuesday, (10.30am-12noon), Saturday and Sunday morning, 10am-12noon all year round. £10 a session. Drills, skills and doubles play. Normally 8-16 Improvers a session. Just turn up!

There is also an Improvers@Dyke 'What's App' group to meet and practice with players at this level and receive updates. Currently 97 participants.

From here, players can join our very successful Club with over 100 members and take part in social tennis, match play, parks tournaments (inc. The Davis Cup and the Annual Cup Competitions), county singles and doubles leagues, singles ladders etc. We currently have six teams in four divisions of the Brighton & Hove Parks Doubles Leagues which have been running from April-August each year since 1930! 48 members are selected each week for Dyke teams during the season.

Club Members also have their own 'What's App' group with 85+ members. Membership is currently £85 a year which includes a free season ticket waiving all Brighton & Hove Parks court charges for 1 year. (


All sessions are held at Dyke Park Tennis Club, Dyke Road Park, BN3 6EH, next to the Brighton Open Air Theatre, BHASVIC, Booth Museum, Windlesham School, Territorial Army and Tesco Express/Garage.

Racquets can be provided free of charge. There is phone and display parking alongside the tennis club although many players come by bike and leave them chained to the court fencing. The No. 27 bus stops outside.

A cafe and toilets are situated immediately next door. A First Aid box, changing and storage facilities, tap water and protective sun caps are always available.
