Firstly, welcome to all new members who have signed up since December, and apologies to all of you for hearing hardly a peep from us this year!
I think its high time we all got together to catch up, have a bit of a chin-wag, and hopefully formulate a few plans on how we want to proceed with [beep] this year - venue, frequency, policy etc.
For those who are new to us, [beep] is a night of live electronic music that we were running monthly during the second half of last year. We had some really good nights and it would be great to kick them off again soon.
I thought we should have it at The Globe, give us a chance to meet the new management and see if its still suitable for us host our night there.
Anyone who fancies sharing some of their ideas with us, however polished or rough, please come along, we really do want your input! You don't even need to be someone who wants to perform - there is loads of stuff to do aside from all of that **
Hope to see as many of you as possible!
** I should state here that we are aiming to do a live *electronic* music night. Broadly speaking, that means music that is performed on electronic musical instruments - be they analogue or digital, virtual or real or otherwise. That doesn't mean that it will be wall-to-wall techno. But it does mean that we won't be planning any acoustic guitar sing-alongs, harp recitals and / or karaoke sessions. Sorry in advance.
