We will have an action packed agenda for you, sponsored by City & Guilds Kineo:
1830 – 1840 Arrival and drink
1840 – 1845 Introduction by Pete Jenkins, Chair of GamFed & Founder of GAMIFICATION+ LTD.
1845 – 2030 Various fabulous speakers and case studies:
Fiona Macneill, Learning Technologies Adviser from University of Brighton will provide an overview of recent projects (many of which have not been broadly publicised) and the use of game-based mechanics to support learning.
James Corey-Wright, Head of Learning Design from City & Guilds Kineo will give us a talk titled "21st Century Schizoid Man" with some reservations about gamification in e-learning but back to back with enthusing about a couple of gamified solutions Kineo has in production right now and their plans for the future.
Michael Norris and Sezer Tunca of Whiteboard (getwhiteboard.com) will be talking about teacher and student engagement.
Nick Beddows of Arcobaleno Media will be talking about how we're hard-wired to learn by finding the story in everything we experience and how we can use that in a gamified approach to design engaging content..
Craig Taylor, a solutions architect for HT2, will be talking about his naive approach to using gamification for learning and what he's learnt from doing this. Craig has been involved in the training/L&D field since 1993, when he cut his teeth in the training-delivery world while serving in the British Army. His subsequent learning and development roles have been in the rail, nuclear, healthcare, and financial sectors, where he has worked to help organizations understand the value that current and emerging technologies can bring. He does not consider himself a Gamification expert/guru/ninja etc - he's just a normal kinda guy!
Jim Piggot, CEO of TPLD Ltd, will be telling us "How Games Based Learning (GBL) can improve value sales and scale across a large enterprise effectively."
2030 – 2100 Mingle and finish off the free drinks
