Hello fellow gamifiers!
This exciting meetup will be based on swapping gamified apps. This will consist of a number of short speakers, around 5-10 minutes each, discussing their favourite gamification apps, tools and software. The purpose of this meetup is to find new and engaging apps for your fellow gamifiers to work and play with.
Anyone can speak, as long as you have a gamified app, tool or software you would like to talk about. If you would like to speak at this event, please contact [masked] or [masked].
We will have an action packed agenda led by you, for you:
1830 – 1840 Arrival and drink
1840 – 1845 Introduction by Pete Jenkins, Chair of GamFed & Founder of GAMIFICATION+ LTD.
1845 – 2000 Various fabulous speakers:
Max Eaglen, Director at Platform Group will be talking about Co:Lab. Co:Lab is a suite of applications designed specifically for use in Customer Experience Centres - The apps gamify the process of workshopping. The apps cover everything from simple show and tell interactives to discovery tools that help you sort, prioritise and ideate, and include data visualisation that harvest information from the net to help inform decision making.
Vasilis Gkogkidis, Gamification Consultant at GAMIFICATION+ will talk about an app he has been working on called "The Manager's Path". Gamification and learning are a natural match. Being able to learn in stress free environments without the fear of failing is what gamification can help learning and training with. The aim of "The Manager's Path" is to help new managers across all industries, develop positive managerial skills that will aid them in their everyday tasks.
Shane Fumagall, Gamified Marketer at GAMIFICATION+ will talk about an environmental app called Ecosia. Ecosia is a search engine which plants trees every time you search. In a world where deforestation is rife, companies attempting to mitigate this issue are essential. Can Ecosia use gamification elements to compete with multinationals like Google?
Dan Atkins, Principal Consultant at JFDI Consulting will talk about JFDI's gamified Sharepoint onboarding app. JFDI are a Microsoft Gold Partner. With this knowledge, they created a gamified Sharepoint app which guides users through the onboarding process. Onboarding is the crucial first step in gamification, and this app is a useful example of an interactive and real life example of gamification in the workplace.
Sabrina Bruehwiler, Speaking about Eraseallkittens, and how narrative is powerful for gamification.
