Kim, I have an immediate need for medical help for a lab I adopted. After we adopted him we discovered heart worms. We spent 1200 to have those cleared up. Last summer he developed a severe itch. We carried him to various vets and finally NC State University Vet school. We spent a pile of money there and they gave him steroids which helped the problem and he gained 30 lbs. This summer he has the problem worse and we are in a situation where we cannot afford any more vet bills. We have 6 cats and 2 more dogs, all rescues. Do you or your members know anywhere I can get some financial help for this dog. The vets we have called said their bill will be between 500-700. If there is a clinic around. I can not stand to see him suffer but I just lost my job and we cannot do anything right now. Thanks.
