Calling all Sandgate Entrepreneurs, Business Owners and Community Leaders...come and hear from some inspiring, experienced and generous "movers and shakers" in Sandgate who are running successful national and international businesses right here on our doorstep!

This one-off event is about tapping into the expertise and connections in your local area. There are dozens of amazing and successful men and women tucked away living and working in Sandgate. We are all drawn here for similar reasons; the relaxed, low key, seaside village lifestyle which provides a perfect contrast to often high level, national and international businesses and corporate careers.

This is not your average suburban networking event. An event of this calibre would usually require a trip into the CBD but we thought it was time we held one right here at a well known local venue with spectacular views of the bay.

This is just a taste of who is going to be speaking at this AWESOME event...

James Paulsen - Executive Director and Founder of Queensland Leaders, inspiring the next generation of leading companies headquartered in Queensland. James has worked in the Investment Banking and Private Equity fields for over 18 years and founded Queensland Leaders 7 years ago to facilitate the growth and prosperity of the private company sector in Queensland.

Tim Cuming - Army Commando who has experienced the pressure of front line action to know share the principle of combat with business operators. Tim will show you how to harness and control your focus in business to survive and succeed.

Greg Nickerson - Has been running his business Northside Marine for over 30 years. Greg has kept his business "afloat" (sorry couldn't resist!) during some tough times in the marine industry. He has over 30 staff and most have been with Northside for over 10 years.

Paul Brederick - Former CEO of Aviation Australia has just launched his second commercial airline which is set to expand nationally in the next few years. Paul has a vast level of experience in the big end of town including the past couple of years piloting Australia's first Biojet Fuel Project.

Matthew Cox - Has built a multimillion dollar retail and hospitality empire from the ground up from very humble and challenging conditions. Matthew is a humble entrepreneur who is still on the up and up, recently establishing the gorgeous Matthew Thomas Restaurant overlooking Bramble Bay, in Shorncliffe.

Russell Gee - Runs a Robotics Design and Management business with customers across south east Asia and he can often be found logging into factories across the globe from his laptop in his living room! Russell is also an MBA graduate and is going on to his Phd in Business.

Paul Derry - A Lifestyle Engineer who manages to travel the world whilst running numerous property and business investments. Paul also supports a number of local community and social causes such as the Variety Bash.

Rod McGarvie - A decorated former soldier and active community advocate in the Sandgate area. Rod led operations and served with UN peacekeeping forces in Namibia before going on to work in community development in East Africa. Rod is a Leadership Consultant and will be running in the upcoming Federal Election.

Paul Timms - Serial entrepreneur and multi millionaire who has started several successful business and is now CEO of the Australian Institute of Business Coaches and President of the not-for-profit organisation, Young Achievement Australia (YAA). Paul has hundreds of people start their own businesses and build a 7 figure turnover in less than a year.

This is going to be a great night for anyone looking to expand themselves and their businesses. We will allow plenty of time to catch up with people you already know and to make new contacts.

The purpose of this event is threefold:

1. It allows successful Sandgate business owners to "give back" to the community by sharing their experiences (successes and set backs)

2. It provides a platform for Sandgate Business women and men to catch up to talk business and to make some new connections

3. It will inspire a new generation of Sandgate Business men and women taking on big things in business both in Sandgate and beyond.
