Unwise deals, blaster fights, and high adventure among the stars; welcome to Scum and Villainy!
Scum and Villainy is a recent Forged in the Dark game but unlike Blades in the Dark where you play a gang of scoundrels attempting to control the streets of a haunted, industrial city , you will instead play a rag-tag spaceship crew trying to make ends meet under the iron-fisted rule of the Galactic Hegemony. Scum and Villainy draws inspiration from Cowboy Bebop, Firefly, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, Lexx, the Killjoys etc. As such, there will be heists, criminal syndicates, warring noble families, dangerous aliens, strange mystics, and the ruins of lost civilizations to exploit for fun and profit but can your motley crew hold it together long enough to strike it big?
In Scum and Villainy, choosing your crew’s spaceship will determine the general story arc, and choosing your class will determine which approach to obstacles will reward the most experience, and also your abilities, equipment, friend, and foe. In contrast, you are free to choose any vice that’s helps you to deal with the stress accumulated on account of your poor impulse control and lifestyle choices.
This will be a campaign of up to 10 fortnightly sessions and to minimise game set up time for a quick game start, here is a hyperlink for downloading the player and spaceship sheets that I’ll print for the game https://www.dropbox.com/s/hmvosm8y4dh90xk/ScumAndVillainy-Player_Sheets.pdf?dl=0, and further hyperlinks to Doodle Polls for choosing your preferred spaceship https://doodle.com/poll/mqcav7s5t6t7vf2a and crew class https://doodle.com/poll/hadd5ceza6f52ehy
