You are invited to step into the wild wood on a year long journey to explore and press what means to be a woman without children who wanted them. Using the arts we will together explore our place in the world, honour our grief, ignite the spark of new growth and possibilities, strengthen ourselves and tend our inner fire. We will use different art forms to reach beneath the surface. These may include story telling, mask making, clay, painting, collage, sound, movement, puppets, creative writing, poetry and visualisation. We will work both indoors and in nature. As a group we will reflect on and share what we discover. It is not necessary to have experience or be good at the arts. This is about expression and witnessing each other rather than on what is produced. Although at times this may be a tricky landscape to cross and live in, I hope there will be creative pleasure, fun and playfulness for all of us.
Some of the core themes include: + Sharing our hopes, wishes, fears and dreams + supporting each other and activating our internal resources + Our place in society as women without children who wanted then + Relationships with friends, family and ancestors + Stripping away what no longer serves us + Loss and grief + Our relationship to our body + Sexuality + Creativity + sowing new dreams + Locating and engaging our strength and power + Finding peace within ourselves and with women who have children + Brining the treasure we discover for ourselves on this journey int our lives and community
