Bristol English Conversation Meetup is a group for people of all nationalities who would like to get together and improve their English communication skills in a relaxed, informal environment. You may have lived and worked/studied in the UK for a while, but don't have many opportunities to practise speaking in English, or perhaps you are new to Bristol and would just like to make friends.
All nationalities are welcome, at Intermediate+ level (This group is not suitable for beginners).
Native speakers of English are also more than welcome to join us - the more, the merrier!
There is a fee of £3 per person for this Meetup, which may be different to other language Meetups you attend. Please remember to RSVP if you would like to come along to an event as places will be limited.
I am a fully-qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language, with more than 22 years' teaching experience. I am a native speaker of English and also a certified Cambridge examiner. I love socialising and meeting new people, and having lived abroad myself, I know how important it is to feel confident when communicating in another language.
Please note: this is not a traditional English language lesson. The idea is to improve fluency and confidence when speaking English. I will be available to help with corrections, to answer questions and advise you, but you will be responsible for keeping the conversation going in English!
Each week there is a mix of regular attendees and new members, but it is always a lovely group of people. You are guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome, so don't be shy - come and join us!

We will meet at Grounded Cafe,[masked] Fishponds Rd, BS16 3UP at 10.00am.
Look for the Meetup signs on the table to find us. We will be at the big table near the entrance.
Cost: £3.00, payable to the organiser on the day.
