Fishbowl Discussion Events!

Exploring the most popular of transformation questions:

How as an organisation do we stop just doing agile and start being agile?

An open fishbowl is an event where there are 5 seats in the middle and 4 people in those seats, the audience is organised around this central seating in bands that indicate the level of participation the audience member wants to engage in. The first row is actively engaged and will undoubtedly ask questions or join the people in the middle at some point, the second row is less participatory but may ask questions and the third row is on receive only with no intention to ask questions (however, they can via a facilitator or still go forward rules are meant to be broken).

The Five seats and four people at the beginning may not be those at the end of the talk, in an Open fishbowl audience members can decide to join the middle and if they do the only hard and fast rule is that there must be a spare seat at all times, this means that a speaker in the middle who feels they have said enough can get up and move out of the middle back to their seats. This way the event is more discussion based and less Q&A. Learn a bit more about them here:
