Open discussion topic time!
No moderation, no panel, people gathering in a space together around an important topic to discuss what it means.
Let's talk about what it means to us when we don't see conference line-ups that don't represent those of us in tech that fall in the 'marginalised;' category.
What does it mean to us to see people like ourselves represented?
What are our responsibilities (if any) as marginalised people to events?
What's missing from the conversation?
What do we want to see happen locally, nationally and internationally?
What impact does this have on our careers, life, thoughts and opinions?
Suggestions on an appropriate venue welcome!
Easily accessible for low-income folks, people with impairments and must be a space that promotes a safe environment for all ethnicities and gender expressions.
Setting a cap at 35 because we don't have a dedicated venue for this and we may be taking over a pub/cafe/public space!
