This month as the church room is being used as a polling station on the 7th May the Introduction to mindfulness session will be on the 14th.
The two mid-month mindfulness meditation sessions will have a focus specifically on meditation. There will be no talk other than to introduce and explain the meditations though as usual there will be a question and answer session after the session. Although it is fine for beginners to attend these sessions, the monthly Introduction to mindfulness session on the first Thursday of the month will be the best to learn about the basics of mindfulness.
The mindfulness skills we teach are:
Science based for secular people
Offer a spiritual connection for spiritual people
Suitable for beginners or experienced
The class consists of mindfulness meditation, techniques, training and a Q&A session all designed to assist you in your personal journey.
The benefits of mindfulness are: according to the American Psychological Association:

Improved immune system response
Improved overall wellbeing
In addition you will develop more empathy, compassion and experience an increased quality of life.
