This will be a moderately paced, intermediate ride and we'll probably get in ~8 miles. If you're unsure about what intermediate means, please read some of the reviews of Blue Mountain on Singletracks and watch some YouTube videos.
(Links below.) The park is approachable enough for strong beginners, but sections are _very_ technical and there are _lots_ of rocks. I don't want to scare anyone, but I do want to ensure everyone knows what they're getting into and, most importantly, has a good time!
We'll meet at the Montrose Station Road entrance and try to be on the trail shortly after 10AM. The plan is to climb up to Myx Monster, via the fire road or Rambler and do the upper/lower sections. After that, people may begin to peel-off or continue riding.
Sometimes, the group will go to Peekskill Brewery in downtown Peekskill for food and a cold drink, so you may want to bring a bike lock if you're interested in joining.
For people taking the Metro-North, a few of us will be taking the 8:43AM train from Grand Central Terminal to Cortlandt. It's a ~1 mile ride to the Montrose Station Road entrance from the Cortlandt stop.
I'm going to limit the number of RSVPs, as there are already a few people who've agreed to join off-list.
