Cat C+ 12-14 mph
Join Ride Leaders Peter Tull, Malcolm Murray and Chris Ford (the Three Amigo's) on a Saturday ride to a new cafe (for us); the Gyre & Gimle in Buckingham, which is a line from Lewis Carroll's poem Jabberwocky:
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. "Beware the Jabberwock, my son The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!"
Starting at Chainey's Cycles we'll take familiar roads to Silverstone, then through Syresham and Water Stratford into Buckingham for a cafe stop at circa 33 miles http://gyre-gimble.co.uk/
Returning by Gawcott, Padbury and Beachampton to Chainey's.
Total distance 52 miles with 1,600 ft of ascent.
This is a 'Cat C+' ride, please ensure that you are comfortable riding at this pace in a group. This ride is 'NOT' recommended for beginners. We will ride as a group, keeping together at a steady pace. Anyone racing off the front or pushing the pace will not be welcome.
