This night is for beginners and intermediate players that are prepared to bump/set/spikee. If you can pass the ball to the center position for setting up for the final hit then you can probably play at this level. If you are still developing, you may prefer to attend the Monday and Wednesday evenings in Miramar (if doable) as that is giving you the preparation to play better volleyball. However, this night is designed for both intermediate and beginners. Both new and continuing members are welcome. Bring your positive attitudes!! It's all for fun but at this level, there is a more competitive drive and goal! Starts at 5:30p and ends around 9:45 (lights go out around that time) or whenever we don't have enough to do doubles.
Keep in mind, this park is a public park and there are times when we can only secure one net. Its first-come, first-serve basis. Thanks to those who can show up early to hold at least one of the courts till the rest of the BVC members arrive!
On high attendance nights, we have a chance to get to know each other "off the court" since we will take turns sitting out or rotating in so all who RSVP can play throughout the night. Continuous play is not guaranteed, but we do our best to keep it going smoothly! :)
HOW TO FIND US:
The volleyball courts are near the basketball courts - won't be difficult to find us. Plenty of parking available near the court. Look for a familiar face or walk up and ask for the BVC Meetup group!
Dress in comfy clothes and bring plenty of liquids. Prepare to protect your belongings IF it happens to rain.
See ya there for some good 'ole fashioned volleyball games!
If your availability to attend changes, please update your RSVP to reflect such changes or post a comment in the comments section to let others know you will not be attending or that you will be late. Thank you.
If you have questions, please feel free to email me. - Gary
P.S. By all means feel free to invite friends, co-workers or relatives to come out and join us. Direct them to the site for further details or bring them out and let them get a feel for who and what we are. :-)
See you all on the sand
