We will meet at the registration tent for 1pm. If you haven't registered yet please do it online or arrive a bit early.
I'll be wearing a red ski jacket. My cell is 416-728-5851 if you need to reach me.
See you there.
Video from The Rick Mercer Report.
Even after watching this I'm still sooo glad I'm finally do this.
What are you doing on January 1st?
What better way to kill a hangover than to join me and hundreds of other crazy souls for Canada's Largest Polar Bear Dip. Last year they had over 700 dippers and thousands of spectators at Coronation Park in Oakville as they took the plunge into the icy cold waters of Lake Ontario to help provide clean water in developing countries. Check out their website at http://www.polarbeardip.ca for more details.
*** I've sent out an email (Dec 3rd) but just in case you didn't receive it here are the basics...
I've created a group for registration and fundraising at:
https://worldvisioncan.akaraisin.com/pledge/Event/Registration.aspx?seid=7687&tid=66676&mid=3 Click on the first dot, hit continue and follow the instructions.
Registration is $25 which supports World Vision. Please register asap so I know how many will actually be coming and if its worth renting a warming / change tent.
If you'd prefer just send me an e-transfer for $25 to bucketlistoronto@gmail (yes, one t) and I can register you with my card.
The organizers of the dip tell me that we will be the largest group in their history.
