What we're about

If you like playing board and card games, meeting new people, or want to take a break from the routine and try something new, this is the meetup for you. We welcome all levels of gaming experience from those new to the hobby to those just starting to explore. No experience is necessary!

This started as a monthly Board Game Night hosted at the Bensalem Library but has grown to include meetups in Quakertown and Yardley. Game night host will feature games from their personal collection but you are always welcome (nay, encouraged!) to bring your own as well. The Bucks County Public Library also offers a circulating collection of board games for individuals to check out and play.

Upcoming events (5+)

Adult Game Night at Levittown Library

Levittown Branch - Bucks County Free Library

Board game nights are back at Levittown Library! Play some old games, and learn some new ones. From chess to Settlers of Catan, from Scrabble to Ticket to Ride, we will provide a variety of board games each Thursday evening for you to play with others. Bring yourself (and a friend if you are able to) and get playing! Game night will be in the Group Study Room.

Game Night at Makefield Friends Meetinghouse

Makefield Friends Meetinghouse

Game night at Makefield Friends Meetinghouse is the first Saturday of every month. Rummikub is a perennial favorite, and they also have Dominion and Quirkle—plus you can bring in your own games to share as well! Coffee, tea, soft pretzels, and other snacks are provided. There's almost always birthday cake as well. http://www.quakersbucks.org/ee_cms/printables/Qphen8-2017.pdf (http://www.quakersbucks.org/ee_cms/printables/Qphen1-16.pdf) I'm told the Meetinghouse is hard to find, so I've included several photos to help you spot it. Game Night at Proper Brewing

The Proper Brewing Co

FYI: We do most of the organizing for this Meetup in our FB group, which you are free to join. We have a consistently good turnout, it's just not reflected on this Meetup page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1054875161254300/ Attention gamers of all shapes, stripes, and colors! Join us at the Proper Brewing Company for a night of beer, laughter, and board games! It's a low key, no pressure event and all experience levels are welcome. We play anything from light Euros to table-sprawling war games, collectibles, minis, role-playing, party games -- you name it! If it involves sitting around a table and making your friends weep in defeat, you can count us in.

Board Games for Grownups at Yardley Library

Yardley Makefield Branch Library

Join us for bi-weekly board games at the Yardley-Makefield Library. Most of our games are shorter (~45 min), so we teach and play several over the evening—no experience necessary and arrive any time! You're also welcome to bring in your favorites to teach and share. See you there! On top of what you bring in, we’ll always have our regular stable of games on hand: Splendor, Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, Kingdom Builder, Hanabi, Qwirkle, Carcassonne, Takenoko, Biblios, 7 Wonders, 7 Wonders Duel, Dominion, Citadels, and Lost Cities. By request, we can additionally bring in Agricola, Forbidden Desert, Forbidden Island, Catan, Codenames, Coup, Patchwork, and Rummikub. If there's anything else you'd like to try, ask in the comments to see if someone has it.
