Creative Writing Budapest - Online Session

Online event

We both hold bi-weekly workshops to encourage creative writing where we share work/assignments and solicit feedback; and also pair up collaborators to author and review work outside of our meetings.

To motivate members, we either share excerpts from on-going projects or explore an agreed theme (referred to as the "prompt"). Participants, however, need not submit work.

Aside from reading a submission, workshops have also explored ideas, styles, approaches. We've discussed themes, resources, challenges and how current events can shape stories.

If you're interested in the prompt, for the next meeting it is:

Writing for an adolescent - on how to deal with pressure

The contribution guidelines are:
1) limit 850 words (to give each participant time)
2) pre-post the item on bpcw.slack.com in the "_NextMeetup" channel (write me at eahofer (at) gmail if you aren't a member already)
3) have a question in mind for the group about the work.

For our remote meets, we use discord. We post the link to the forum 15 minutes before the meet here. If you are new to discord, contact me in advance to help you get accustomed to their technology.
