What we're about
Free Buddhist Meditation for Seniors
Where and When
Please join us at Buddhist Sangha Meditation. We meet every Thursday at 2:00 PM to 3:30. Our location is in the Conference Room of the Lumberton Leas Community Center, 180 Woodside Drive, Lumberton, NJ.
Who Am I? Buddha knows!
“Who am I”, is the oldest question in philosophy and life. The Buddha knew who we are, and he knew how we can answer this question for ourselves.
Our practice will be non-sectarian with a focus on meditation, talks by Walt Kaimon Lyons and discussions of the Dharma.
Everyone is welcome. There is no requirement to be a Buddhist or to become one. All residents of Lumberton Leas and nonresidents may attend and there is no cost.
Teacher and Practice
The group is led by Walt Kaimon Lyons, Lumberton Leas resident and assistant teacher the Soji Zen Center in Lansdowne, PA. Call Walt at 609-670-3247 or Email Walt_Lyons@Yahoo.com for more information.
Before You Arrive
Here are a few pointers before you begin your practice:
* If you are seeing a mental health therapist, check with them about whether meditation is right for you.
* We will be meditating in chairs. It’s best to wear dark, loose, comfortable clothing.
