This suburban hike is in conjunction with the HIKE NEW YORK STATE AND BEYOND group.
The Peanut Line Trail begins at the western boundary of
Clarence near Transit Road and continues east eventually
connecting with the Clarence-Akron-Newstead Trail in the
Town of Newstead.
The trail runs along an abandoned rail right-of-way and
provides connections to Meadowlakes Park and Memorial Park.
Let's get out Saturday afternoon and walk the Peanut Line/Clarence bike trail. We'll start at the beginning of the path on Transit Rd in Clarence, walk to Goodrich Rd in Clarence Center, then turn around and head back to Transit Rd. Trails are paved, though with all the snow we've been getting, they will probably be snow covered. We can walk, possibly snowshoe the path. The path is also a section of the 177 mile Conservation trail, that runs from the state line in Allegany State Park to it's terminus in Niagara Falls.
Park in the parking lot of Pautlers Drive-In, located at 6343 Transit Rd, E Amherst, located down the street from the entrance to the path.
A liability waiver will be needed from those that do not already have one on file. Please forward completed waiver to [masked]
