For our first ever "Micro Con" we will be having board games along with different sorts of one-shot/Delve RPGs! If you don't get out and play much, THIS is your night to grab some fun! Bring your own board/card game, try and find some players, or RSVP in one of the open games below!
Think of this as a very tiny convention before the REAL Queen City Con occurs next week! Actually, it will be a randomly scheduled and recurring event from now on.
I will have special signs for everybody to hang either on the door of the room that is being used to play in, or a "table tent" to rest on the table being use so that you'll know what is where.
If you wish to have an event listed here, just let us know.
Thus far we have:
Chris S. --- Bringing all kinds of board games and RPGs (lots of Eurogames), such as Dungeon World, the new Star Wars RPG Edge of the Empire, as well as a container full of board games such as "Lords of Waterdeep", Alhambra, Puerto Rico, Hex Hex, Cut Throat Caverns, and a few other things he has about! If you have a specific request, let him know here - or just show up and play!
Garrett Crowe --- He is running an open Paranoia RPG game. 1/6 RSVP- Forrest
Cindy Moore --- She's running an open Living Forgotten Realms adventure (Calimshan4-2 specifically). If you have no idea what LFR is, check out this website, where you can find rules, pre-generated characters, and more! The WeavePasha of Almraiven seeks adventurers to recover shards of the Calimemnon Crystal. He has traced one shard to an earthmote floating high above the desert. However, that same earthmote also happens to be the lair of a blue dragon. A Living Forgotten Realms adventure set in Calimshan for characters of the Paragon tier (levels 11-20). The Calimemnon Crystal Major Quest comprises CALI4-1, 4-2, and 4-3; you may play these three adventures in any order. RSVP- Scott, guest, Jane, Katie
Wesley Young (8 Max players, with 8 total, event is full. Kevin N; Joe; Ashley; George; JD?; Brandon; Chris B; Joshua) --- I will be running an authentic Original Dungeons & Dragons adventure. OD&D was first published back in the 1970s and became THE RPG that we all know and love to this very day. It is a very rules-lite system that is utterly easy to pick-up and play. The module I'm running is a classic dungeon crawl from 1979 (the first module published, actually) called "In Search of the Unknown". And by 'authentic' I mean that I will be using actual vintage paper props and figures from the 1980s era (along with some modern touches), and will be running the game old-school style (mapping on graph paper and other touches). No matter how you approach the game, though (nostalgia or just want to play) it should be a very fun time! Pre-generated characters and everything needed to play will be supplied. RSVP- Chris B, Brandon,
Jim Meggenhofen I am running a Hellboy/BPRD adventure using modified Cortex RPG rules. New or veteran players are welcome, pre-gens will be provided. Starts at 6pm, I will be there around 5pm. RSVP 4/6- Emily, Kevin R, Adam, Konrad
NOTE: Please RSVP here on this page as to what game you are going to play in! Failure to do so just may result in nobody knowing who you are, or even expecting you and losing a place in the game you want to play in.
