September Secrets

From: Mark K.
Sent on: Tuesday, September 6, 2011 4:58 PM

Greetings, Gamers!

Here we are again.  It's just you and me and the other 433 gamers who are a part of the Buffalo Gamers Society. We'll keep this newsletter just between us.  It will be our little secret. We will make a pact, and agree to never divulge the information that I am about to share. We'll do that, right after we talk about the latest happenings at the BGS.

Looking for Gamers

First, long-time member, Kate P has started up a new game and is looking for A Few Good Players. Check out the details here:

Next up, Dan S is looking to form an elite squad to take on the biggest challenge available in D&D, the Lair Assault. Sign up here:[masked]

If you are looking for some old-schoold D&D action, Chris Walck is setting up a Sunday Night game. It may not be too late to get involved. Find out here:

A few of our Warhammer players are organizing for some play time, with an eye towards Tournaments. If you are interested, please let us know here:

Finally, D&D Encounters happens every Wednesday night at Jester's Cap, and we are always looking for more people to join in.  Join us at 6PM, and see what its all about.

News Flash!

Our group has been featured in the Tonawanda News! Wesley and Cindy Moore were both featured in an interview about how our group has used to find new members and organize our events. Read all about it here:

Looking for Clever Ideas

Do you have any clever ideas about how to offer a challenge to a group of Warhammer players, beyond the basic 'kill your opponent', then we want to hear what you have to say. Michael Hoff is trying to set up a WNY tournament circuit and is harvesting ideas from the hive mind. Help him out by offering up your ideas here:

BGS GameFest 2011: Pirate vs Ninjas

This month, we will host our second annual GameFest day. This year, the theme is Pirates vs Ninjas. We have a wide variety of games available, along with a dinner, discourse and demonstration session. Join us for all the fun, all day Saturday, September 24th. Sign up for games here:

Ok, now you've all been sworn to secrecy about everything you've been told here today, right?

Well... maybe you could tell some people about the GameFest event.  It's a public event, and we would like you to bring your friends and family along. And that news paper thing is kind of public knowledge already. I mean, anyone with an internet connection can see that thing. And Mike wouldn't mind if you told someone who could help him out. And I'm pretty sure those guys and gals with games that need players would be happy to see a new face or two.

But seriously, that's it. You can't tell anyone anything else, ok? Pinky Swear? Good. I knew I could trust you.
I'll send out my spies to gather more secrets for next month.

Until then, Game on!

-Mark K.
