Qigong is an ancient Chinese form of moving meditation, promoting ease of movement, relaxation, balance, stamina, improvements in musculoskeletal and systemic health, and a peaceful sense of presence and calm energy. Practice consists of gentle movements coordinated with breathing - activating, stretching, and creating a flow within the body. No equipment or special clothes are necessary; all levels, from no experience to years of practice, are welcome.
Tai chi springs from qigong, incorporating qigong and "walking" movements in a choreographed sequence. Tai Chi Easy is a 5-movement tai chi form designed to be a fun introduction to tai chi while adhering to all the principles of traditional tai chi practice.
We are currently on hiatus for the summer; please check back in the fall!
I have been practicing Tai Chi and Qigong since 2001, and hold a 5th degree Black Sash in Tai Chi from GrandMaster Gohring’s School of Tai Chi in Austin, Texas. I enjoy teaching meditative qigong as well as simple, short tai chi forms as an easy introduction to tai chi. I am certified to teach Tai Chi Easy, Integral Tai Chi, and Qigong by the Institute for Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC). My lifelong focus has been on helping others heal themselves. —Diane Graves
