Come huddle around the projector light and join us for some data driven warmth in the middle of winter!
Continuing our 4 year tradition of brightening the darkest nights of winter with a party, on Wednesday December 19th Burlington Data Scientists are teaming up with our good friends with VT Women in Machine Learning and Data Science (aka "WiMLDS") to co-host "Rapid Fire" talks.
If you'd like to speak, scroll down or visit this URL--
Burlington Data Scientists did summertime short-talks 3 years ago (with ten talks that were 5-minutes each) and it was a ton of fun.
After the talks we'll all move to Skinny Pancake to continue our discussions an enjoy free food and drink provided by Burlington Data Scientists sponsor RStudio!
Do you want to give a talk in a fun, and supportive environment of data professionals?
Do you have an exciting project that you've been working on that you want to share, but isn't quite to the point of a full-scale 45 minute presentation? Then rapid fire data science talks could be the place for you!
We plan to host 5-10 talks that are about 5-10 minutes each-- we love symmetry.
Please follow this link to provide some information about yourself and what you'd like to talk about.
Please don't hesitate to propose any idea, no matter how rough. We're looking for talks from people working in all kinds of roles on all kinds of projects using all kinds of platforms. And we stand by our commitment to be a safe space for professionals of stripes to come together and explore ideas in data science together.
If we have more proposals than we can accomodate this December, we're planning to have another round of rapid fire talks in June or July, so we'll host the rest then.
