According to Jennifer, even the most seasoned entrepreneurs can fall victim to sales mistakes and ignore the basic principles of sales management. Missteps in your sales process can cost your business time and money.

    I was disappointed with the event. The whole point of attending an event like this is having the ability to do a infommecercial on your self so that the networking component works better. The Business link either has to reign the speaker, or extent the event so that the whole afternoon is not shot just because some speaker gets carried away.

      Thank you for attending The Business Link’s February networking event and providing your feedback. We do our best to monitor the speakers who volunteer their time to help The Business Link’s clients improve their business skills in topics they specialize in. Part of that monitoring involves gauging audience interest and engagement. For the networking portion, we usually try to give each participant time to introduce themselves in front of the group. However, if the turnout is high like last Tuesday, we suggest forming smaller groups for self-introduction to maximize the networking time. And of course, we encourage everyone to put on a name badge for their personal identification to help them network.

    The actual 'personal sales' area isn't talked about very much other than being part of the Marketing funnel. Because my only product is a Book I'd like to see a speaker someday talk about 'attraction marketing' which is part of having different pull strategies as compared to the push strategies being utilized in today's presentation.
