  • Test Driven Development in C++

    3 Greenway Plaza Concourse Level

    Test Driven Development (TDD) has changed the way I think about software engineering. This efficient, yet often misunderstood technique has allowed me to deliver high quality software at speeds I didn't know I could attain. Let's talk about TDD! *Note*: I received comments about some members not being able to make it on Wednesdays. So for 2019, we'll be moving the dates around, starting with our January meetup happening on a Tuesday.

  • SQL & C++ - A code generation approach

    3 Greenway Plaza Concourse Level

    Steven M. Cherry will be presenting. Talk Abstract: There are lots of ways to approach SQL and Database access in C++, from ESQLC, ESQLC++, to dedicated classes holding your SQL, etc... At Hericus Software, we've designed an approach that blends tools, precompilers, and leverages the benefits of C++ to help us standardize our approach to dealing with SQL and Databases. It externalizes our SQL, automatically generates Data Object classes for both the client (JavaScript) and the server (C++) and also plays a central role in our C++ memory management strategy.
