The Central Illinois Singles Group (CISG) is about having fun, trying new things, and meeting new friends. We welcome all active single adults from the area -- whether divorced, widowed, or never married.
So, our Meetup friends at the Eat Drink & Be Merry group (adults age 50 and above who go to dinner together) have invited Central Illinois Singles Group members to join them for dinner, as long as the CISG folks behave themselves! Here's the menu:
(If you're an EDBM member, you need not duplicate your rsvp here.)
Experienced dancers are on the floor constantly. Anyone new to it can learn at least three dances per evening -- with the same steps usually repeated for more than one week -- taught by a very patient instructor.
$8 cover charge, payable at the bar. Limited free snacks usually available; additional food and drinks may be purchased.
Bluejeans appropriate; don't overdress for the heat of the dance floor.
Cowboy hat and boots are optional; some of the music is country, but much of it is not.
An evening of swing dancing for $10. The Nathan Taylor Band is providing the music from 8:30 to 10:30. Doors open at 6:30, with an optional one-hour lesson at 7:00 for beginners or those who want a refresher course.
Our friends at Body Fitness are hiking one or more of the Forest Park trails on Saturday morning for about an hour or so. There is no charge, but please read the Comments below to complete the two-step sign-up procedure.
Backpack not required, but you will want appropriate shoes, b.y.o. water, and wear comfortable clothes for a temperature probably around sixty.
