The Central Illinois Singles Group (CISG) is about having fun, trying new things, and meeting new friends. We welcome all active single adults from the area -- whether divorced, widowed, or never married.
An evening of swing dancing (and other dance styles), $5 per person. Music played will be mostly Swing, Lindy, and Blues -- along with some Ballroom, Latin, and of course Dubke.
I'm guessing, with the Halloween theme, that we will also be doing the Monster Mash and the Transylvania Twist.
Costumes are optional, but likely to be half of the fun.
Mellow vocals, piano, and sax -- a two-man group who call themselves Three and a Half Men. As some members know, there is limited seating in what is a small space within this north Peoria grocery store.
The location makes it easy for anyone who wants to have dinner or snacks while enjoying the music. The popularity of the group similarly makes it easy for the place to fill up quickly. Early arrivals are strongly encouraged.
Conklin Dinner Theatre returns to "the Barn" in Goodfield this year, and a group of interested members has chosen the date for this Sunday matinee. Additional details in the Comments section below. To make group reservations so that we can all sit more or less together, we will need early commitments.
Any hike or walk can be scenic, but this location has to be one of the best by that measure. Photography people will want to be ready at every step.
When we hiked this in July, a suggestion was to do it when the leaves are turning. Temperatures should be closer to 60 degrees than to 90 this time.
We can start in the Grand View Park parking lot and go north on the sidewalk a mile or so (whatever the group consensus), then back to where we parked.
