    Everhart Park

A daylong celebration of local music with approximately 70 to 90 artists and vendors set up booths throughout the park to sell their high quality arts and crafts. Two stages will feature eleven local bands performing different genres of music. Terrific fresh food from local vendors is available all day. Sorry for the late notice. • Full Moon Hike at Serpentine/Willisbrook Preserves

    Serpentine Preserve

This will be a relatively easy hike, mostly flat and about half in the shade, and about 3.5-4 miles. https://www.willistown.pa.us/Facilities/Facility/Details/Serpentine-Preserve-12 From Paoli Pike go about 0.5 miles to the parking lot for the Serpentine Preserve on your left. Dogs welcome. Weather dependent.

  • Inner Tubing on the Brandywine

    Northbrook Canoe Co

We can take a 2 or 3 hour inner tube trip down the Brandywine. It's pretty reasonably priced. More info on their website. They transport you to the dropoff spot into the river. It would be easiest if we could reserve ahead of time with a known number of tubists (is that a word? it is now...). Or is it floaters? Their website...http://www.northbrookcanoe.com/ Perhaps going out for a drink or dinner afterward?

  • Solstice Celebration and Ice Cream

    Historic Chester County Courthouse

The Summer Solstice of 2019 is Friday, June 21. It's actually at 11:54 am Eastern time, but hey it's a whole day so let's enjoy it with a walk around the borough and get some ice cream - there are several places all fairly close to one another downtown so I am amenable to any of them. It is ice cream after all. And it is a celebration of the longest "day" of the year - actually when the Sun is directly over the Tropic of Cancer (that imaginary line at 23.5 degrees north latitude). We can meet downtown at the courthouse.
