CDI is a social and support organization that was founded 25 years ago. It's mission is to help Cross Gender individuals to develop their feminine presentation and mannerisms in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental group environment.
Join us wherever you are in your gender identity process: exploring or comfortable as a transgendered/CD woman. Our facilities have a private entrance and changing facilities on premises including 5 well-lit make-up stations.
We organize Monthly transgender themed Movie Nights, make-up and other lessons, and a weekly GenderCrossing dinner at our facility on West 47th st. We also organize outings to restaurants and other fun venues.
A word to our gentlemen friends
We've had many application from gentlemen who wish to meet girls like us. This presents a problem, as we have very few opportunities for girls and guys to mix. The good news is that we have now established another Meetup group called “Trans and Friends Mixer” that we think you should join. This new group is specifically for those of us who want to mingle socially with those of opposite gender.
Because of this, as of Jan 2019, we are only accepting transgender women and cross-dressers into this meetup.
The goal of this new group is to provide a friendly, easy way for trans women and those that admire them to meet and connect socially, Our meetings will be in a public setting, with some light organization to allow us all to mix, meet and talk in a low-pressure setting. Initial meetings will be at VSBU on 46th St in Midtown Manhattan.

Makeup Artist now available
CDI’s mission is to help men who want to overcome fear and seek to develop their most passable feminine presentation and mannerisms in a safe, supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Lack of confidence in makeup application is one of the biggest barriers to CD’s coming out of the closet. Therefore we have arranged for a licensed cosmetologist to be available for 45 minutes sessions prior to the GenderCrossing Dinner Parties. Cost is $50 plus gratuity. Mia is herself gender fluid and can help you look your feminine best, teach you how to cover your beard shadow, and other important skills.
