Book Chat
Join us as we chat about books. What book are you reading? What books really get you going? What books have influenced you the most? Even if you aren't reading anything right now, come chat. Knitting is encouraged. THIS EVENT IS LOOKING FOR A COORDINATOR. Please contact Monette Richards if you are interested in managing this event. PLEASE NOTE: Happy news for those who wanted this event to be closer to State Route 8! The old Mocha Joe's in Stow has a new owner and a new name, and we are going back there! 2 Girls Cafe and Bakery now occupies the space that was Mocha Joe's Coffee House, and this cafe has a private meeting room, which we have reserved for Book Chat for the next several months! 2 Girls has a more extensive menu for lunch than Mocha Joe's did, as well as a breakfast menu. While they don't have the extensive coffee drink menu Mocha Joe's did, that never seemed to be as important to our participants as location and food menu. So, we're going to try this place in the old location and see how it goes.

What we're about

CFI Communities are groups of freethinkers, rationalists, skeptics, humanists, atheists, and agnostics who come together for many reasons. First and foremost, CFI Communities offer support, educational programming, and social activities for nonreligious and skeptical people. (Religious people are welcome, too, of course.)

-------------------------
What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure that we can comprehend only very imperfectly, and that must fill a thinking person with a feeling of “humility.” This is a genuinely religious feeling that has nothing to do with mysticism.
