CFI-NEO will be tabling again at this year's Cleveland Pride (http://www.clevelandpride.org/home/) -- and we need your help!
The festival takes place Saturday, June 28 in Voinovich Park (behind the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame). Our presence there allows us to both support the LGBT community in Northeast Ohio and introduce ourselves to those who may not be familiar with us (especially those who might be looking for something outside the shaming sphere of religion).
Here's a blurb about the event from Cleveland Pride's website:
Our Festival features three stages, a food court, a beer garden, dancing and in partnership with the Lesbian Gay Community Service Center also includes a children’s pavilion, youth zone and senior space. Our festival has grown to over 22,100 attendees, gay and straight, who come to celebrate our LGBT community and demonstrate our success building bridges within our community and all of Greater Cleveland.
It's always a lot of fun and really quite simple to help out. All you need to do is sit there, smile and blab about the greatness that is CFI-NEO, just like these fine folks did last year:
Yes, that could be you sitting proudly under the CFI banner -- don't miss out! If you value CFI and its mission, this is your chance to help share it with a very welcoming audience.
We'll start setting up around 10 a.m. and will be there till 8:00 p.m. (or close to it). Help is welcome throughout the day. Come for one hour, two--whatever you can manage. If interested, please contact Matt (http://www.meetup.com/CFI-NEO/members/3497705/), and let him know when you can make it.
