*** Kirtan Events at the Unitarian Universalist's Fellowship ***

Kirtan is a wonderful practice which I consider to be a form of meditation in itself. It involves singing chants to music. While you sing (or just listen) you focus on the song and when your mind wanders you gently move your focus back to the song. At the end of each song there is a period of silence which allows you to enjoy the end of that meditation. Then the next song/meditation begins.

We in Corvallis are fortunate to have Kitzie Stern living among us. Kitzie produces a weekly Podcast which features Kirtan music and Interviews with many Kirtan artists. Check it out on the New World Kirtan web-site:

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship provides space every Friday evening for a Kirtan Event. Kitzie leads and/or coordinates these events. With these events she provides a wealth of opportunities for robust meditation experiences and live music presented by many different Kirtan artists.
