Software Freedom Day

Much of the technology that we use in our line of work
is FOSS. That is Free and Open Source Software. We
generally say it's free as in speech, not just free as in
beer. This emphasizes that we are able to change the
software to meet our needs, or hire programmers who
can do it for us. Programs like Firefox are just one
example.

As part of an effort to education and celebrate FOSS
in our area, we're putting on an event in October for
Software Freedom Day. We'll be meeting next
Saturday to discuss details (Aug 30).

If Free and Open Source Software, putting on events,
or even new technology interests you, then please
feel free to join us. I won't be updating this meetup
to often about those details, and instead will keep them
mostly confined to the SFD meetup I've set up.

So head over to:

Many Kind Regards,
Joseph James Frantz
