TBA - Dinner before Dance available (about 5-10 people, not just Meetup)

  • to
  • Needs a location

  • (**Please click on "more info"!!!**) (if in a smartphone app).

SUMMARY: NOT NECESSARILY HOSTED. PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO HOST. Everyone is always invited! Meet new people... we have dinners before the dance! 5 PM Dinner available before the 7 PM Contra Dance. Dinner at TBD. <directions>

At the dinner, if you or your friends are beginners, then you would automatically be right on time for the bonus dance pass - "2nd Dance free if at 1st Lesson by 7 PM".

Average of 5-10 people, not just Meetup members.

(The dinner is early so people can volunteer to set up at 6 PM for the dance.) Please arrive at 5 PM so we can eat together. If you are a little late, please still go! :)

It's good to sign up for the dance too, to let people know you are going - sign-up is here.

There is a dinner before every dance. This Meetup group plans to notify you of all restaurant outings for Contra Dance. Here is a Pre-dance Dinner Calendar for all dinners.

WHO: You can come by yourself and make new friends - or bring a friend or your friends - many people come each way. Everyone is welcome!

WHAT: Dinner to meet people. A dance is especially great if you have met people before dancing with them. At the dinner, you can ask about what a Contra is like. In general, people talk about whatever they like.

WHERE: Places include Pita Jungle, Pei Wei, and Fez! Our restaurants usually accommodate a wide variety of diets.

    WHEN: 5 PM.

WHY: The reason dinners start so early is to allow time for people to volunteer to set up at 6 PM. We are a non-profit group, and we set up the dance hall, the sound speakers, and a large snack table.

    - We ask all dancers to go to the dance at 7 PM, including experienced people, to help with the newcomers.

HOW TO FIND US: You can ask for the Contra Dance Group. We look like a friendly bunch. I should have a Meetup lying on the table, perhaps propped up. Also you can send Daniel a meetup message.

Our dances are "2nd Saturdays" and "4th Fridays". "4th Fridays" might have late-night snacks sometimes.

Alternatively, the email list will probably mention all dinners. official email list: > "Join Our Email List"

Please stay on Meetup to sign up to show that people are signed up - however:

If this is too much e-mail:
