Black Forest Victims Benefit Game Day (Hosted by Pathfinder Society)

We're hoping to run 19 tables of role-playing games to benefit Black Forest Fire Victims. We're looking for GMs to run Pathfinder events and to run events in other systems. Please contact us right away if you can volunteer your time and energy to this worthy cause - and have a lot of fun in the process!

Hello Fellow Gamers,

I am pleased to announce a special event that I have been working on for some time.

As many of you know, we have had several catastrophic events here in Colorado Springs over the last couple of years.  Most recently, over 500 homes were lost in the community of Black Forest in June’s wild fire.

My family has been participating in the clean up efforts there in Black Forest through our church group, but I felt that our PFS community could also contribute to this worthy cause as there are many people in the Black Forest Community that need help in many ways such as clearing debris and dead trees.  Some of these families had limited insurance and lost everything except the clothes on their back.

I decided that rather than go to one of the bigger organizations for donations that I would contact the community itself so we could have a real impact on a couple of the families most severely affected by the loss of their home and everything they own.  I have been working directly with the Black Forest Community Center to choose some folks in the community there that really need our help.  I am presenting the proceeds from this event directly to the families at Enchanted Realms in Colorado Springs on September 14th.  Here is the contact information for  the store as well as the address.

Enchanted Realms Games & Gifts

6799 Bismark Road, Suites I and J

Colorado Springs, CO 80915

The store is located on the corner of Peterson and Constitution.

This will be a day of role-playing fun as well as supporting a good cause.  We will also be collecting donations between now and September 14th at Enchanted Realms, 100% of the proceeds will be given directly to these families in need!

Schedule of Events (click on links to view events)

10am to 10pm - All-Day Pathfinder Society Modules (gain a whole level!)

10am to 2pm - First Gaming Slot

3pm to 8pm - Second Gaming Slot (longer for the Raffle below)

5pm to 6pm - Raffle and Charity Presentations (all games will pause to attend)

Cost/Raffle: $10 for the all-day PFS games, $5 per game for all other games - remember that every dollar will go directly to actual families who were victims of the Black Forest Fire. In addition to playing great games, you get one raffle ticket per $5 game or two tickets for the $10 games! We will also be selling raffle tickets at the counter so you can increase your odds of winning. We'll update this page with a list of raffle items soon! (Limit two wins per person, you must attend Raffle to win.)

Game Resevervations: Please email Scott Dunphy ([masked]) to reserve you seat(s). Please include which games you want to play in which slot. This is a reservation - not a registration - we will not be taking money in advance and we may give away your seat if you are late.

Pathfinder Society: There will be up to 10 tables of all-day PFS games range from character levels 1 to 14! Some of these modules have not been officially offered locally so it is a great opportunity to play something you may have not had a chance to play before. The four-hour slots each have two PFS tables as well - most of these have pre-made characters available so you can try out PFS if it's your first time!

Other Role Playing Games: We'll keep adding to the list so keep checking back. Or better yet - volunteer to run a game for us and help us fill up the list!

GMs: GM’s won’t be left out, they will be given one free raffle ticket per game run or two if they are running an all-day PFS event.

So lets have some fun and do some good! Tell your friends! Drag your whole game group along! Buy extra raffle tickets!

Interesting, I understand that a lot of players cancelled due to the weather and that's why no gamers came to my D&D 3.5 game except toward the end, that's OK, I had fun trying out PathFinder.

I apologize for the mistake in the e-mail this morning -- in loading info for both the social and the game day into the e-mail I inadvertently wrote the incorrect date.
