D&D 3.5 Group 4B every other Sunday 2-7 PM

  • This group is canceled until further notice, as the current DM is having other duties to preform.  If any of the current or new members wish to take over this game and DM the 4B slot, please notify Jeff (DM 4A) to arrange this.

    Group 4B currently has room for 1-2 new members due to existing players having military responsibilities that rotate them in and out.  Note: this only applies to this timeslot and does not reflect Group 4A or any other timeslot.

    DM: David, D&D 3.5, Currently Level 1.

    Campaign: Core 3.5 

    Books: Players Handbook.

    Stats: = Base of zero, 1:1 point buy, 80 points.  No minimum on stats except INT must = at least 3.  Although this does allow people to have higher than normal key stats, doing so will effect your ability to perform some skills (most notably those CHA and INT based ones). 

    Classes:  Limited to Players Handbook.  No casters.  Paladins and Rangers have non-casting variants in Complete Warrior (p 13).  Other class variants are available on DM approval.  Speak to DM concerning Prestige Classes when they become appropriate.

    Races:  Limited to Players Handbook.

    Spell Casting:  While casting classes are not allowed, the ability to learn select spells (by anyone) is possible.  This will be done on a spell by spell basis, and will be its own side quest. 

    Skills: Players may exchange any one Knowledge skill for Knowledge Architecture and Engineering.  Diplomacy will come in to play when negotiating prices for goods.  Alchemy skill is open to all (normally only casters can use).  Alchemy will be used for creating potions, though exact details are unclear at this time, though Dust will likely be a component.

    Setting: This game is set in the RWBY world.  RWBY is a television show created by Rooster Teeth (same people as Red vs. Blue)  RWBY is a steam punk age setting, so basic guns and engineered devices will be come into play.  RWBY also uses a material called 'Dust' to produce magical effects.  See http://rwby.wikia.com/wiki/RWBY_Wiki for more details about the show, setting, mechanics and description of what Dust is.

    Requirements for new players:  We want people who can attend the given time slot consistantly. We understand things like military obligations, family vacations, getting sick, etc. happen, but otherwise we want players who can attend on a consistent basis.  This helps the DM by not having to modify the campaign on the spot when certain characters are unavailable, as well as, the players who may rely of the skills/abilities of other characters.
