What we're about

Looking for a good time rolling dice and going on fantastic adventures in the CSRA? This is a group focused on RPG gaming in all its forms. We play everything from Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder to quirky systems like Dread and indie games like Eclipse Phase or Numenera. Veteran to gaming or complete neophyte, it doesn't matter. No preparation is necessary (unless you want to create your own characters and bring your own dice), only a desire to come by and have a good time.

Most Meetups will occur at our house. Dinner in some form (even if it's just pizza) will be provided. Vegetarian/vegan requests and food allergies can be accommodated, if you let us know AT LEAST one day before game time (the earlier, the better). We are experimenting with the format and will probably run a mixture of campaigns and one-shots depending on player interests. Those who wish to GM can be accommodated as well.

This is not a political group and our games include people with a variety of beliefs. However we are LGBT friendly and we ask that all who come to our events treat all other attendees with respect. We reserve the right to ask individuals to leave.

D&D 5e: Storm King's Thunder

New Thornburg House

Continuation of the campaign from February 9th. Level up to 8!

Rise of the Drow Campaign

Scott’s House

After rescuing the prisoners, the PCs escorted them back to Rybalka. Now, a cry for help sounds once more. Dwarves in the city of Embla are being targeted by the drow city of Holoth. Caravans ransacked, allies dwindling, available warriors killed outright. How will the dwarves protect their village? What will happen in the next exciting episode in Rise of the Drow? This campaign started at level 1. At the end of the campaign, PCs are expected to reach 20th level. PCs are at level 6. Races allowed: Common, featured, and uncommon. If you pick a non-standard race, please have a back story on how your character ended up at the settlement. Please do not pick Drow or Duergar or other evil races. Also note that some races can increase CR (challenge rating) and can reduce the experience progression of your character. For example, Skullduggers are an uncommon race that increases your CR to 5, with effective level of 1+9, resulting in an overpowered character. I want all PCs to be on the same level and share the same experience when playing the game. Magic items will be available both during the campaign after defeating enemies and at certain towns or cities. Don't expect magic items to drop every encounter. Use epic fantasy 25 point buy. Rules for character creation can be found in the Pathfinder Core Rulebook. For this campaign, we will be using Pathfinder 1st edition ruleset. If you have any questions feel free to comment below. Soft drinks and snacks will be provided. Please feel free to bring something if you prefer to do so.

S3 Expedition to the Barrier Peaks D&D Classic Scenario Using 5E rules Pt. 1

This is a classic AD&D Module written by the one and only Gary Gygax. I will be converting this to 5th edition rules. This will be a one-shot adventure that will take a few sessions to complete. This was one of the adventures that introduced science fiction to role playing. In this scenario, the party finds and explores a space ship. This was originally designed for a large party of 10 - 15 characters with levels between 5th and 10th. I will allow for up to 9 characters. For now, plan on making an 8th level character. If not enough people sign up, I will let you increase the level to 10 or let some of you run two characters (or have a NPC). Each character should have at least 2-3 useful magic items. The list below is what was suggested back in the AD&D days so choose an option or come up with something comparable. Your characters should be strong (use one of the approved options for generation). I reserve the right to refuse or modify any character that I believe is too powerful. Character # Items 1. +3 battleaxe, +2 plate mail, +2 shield, ring of fire resistance 2. Sword, Flametongue; +1 plate mail, +1 shield, 3. +1 spear, +1 plate mail, scroll of protection vs magic 4. + 1 shield, javelin of lightning 5. Rise of the Drow Campaign

Scott’s House

In the country lies a settlement named Rybalka, where the settlement has been raided frequently and prisoners are taken. A call for heros has been issued to come to Rybalka and aid the settlement against the attackers and to find and rescue the prisoners. Who will answer the call for help? This campaign starts at level 1. At the end of the campaign, PCs are expected to reach 20th level. Races allowed: Common, featured, and uncommon. If you pick a non-standard race, please have a back story on how your character ended up at the settlement. Please do not pick Drow or Duergar or other evil races.
