Flatiron School is now located in its new location in the Financial District!

Happy March, everyone! It's been quite a winter. Hard to believe it now, but the end is in sight. Thank you to everyone who came out to the February meetup. We had amazing attendance despite the snowpocalypse. We truly appreciate your support.

For March, we'd like to explore computing outside of the CS instructional environment. Computer science is and should be seen as a versatile tool for kids to learn computational thinking not only within the confines of coding and CS classes; the learnings can be applied to myriads of other areas, such as math, science, music, history and English. We have a few great speakers lined up for you to discuss this very topic, so come along, expand your understanding of just how powerful programming can be. And just as before, we hope you walk away with concrete ideas, inspirations, lesson plans and strategies that you can incorporate into your classes, regardless of what subject you teach. We hope to reach a much wider audience with this month's meetup so bring your fellow teachers in STEM or not!

If you have any suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out ([masked]). We want to constantly improve the meetups so we have a diverse group of participants and interesting topics to discuss, so pass this along and bring a friend. As always, beer and sandwiches will be served :)
