At the last meeting we had further defined the Mission statement as a 2-3 sentence statement of our group mission. Please review the suggestions thus far and add any feedback or alternative mission statements you may have.

From the facebook Discussion Board:

Jeff Myer: We are looking to develop a mission statement to help catalyze our focus and communicate our mission/purpose. Please feel free to contribute to this discussion by putting up what you think our mission statement should be or just provide feedback on what has already been posted. Remember, there are NO WRONG ANSWERS for this. The more ideas the better.

Jeff Myer My first quick version of a mission statement to kick things off:
To coordinate with a good group of people to continually develop a space and community that fosters inspiration, collaboration, learning, teaching and creation of cool stuff. The space should be one that provides the appropriate infrastructure for a wide range of building, making, hacking and other creative disciplines while affording amenities to facilitate the creative process.

Bill Saturno KEYWORDS FROM MEETING:

COMMUNITY - WORKSHOP - ENGINEER/BUILD - SHARE - TEACH - INNOVATE - INSPIRE -

Bill Saturno To create and to continually develop a community of people and infrastructure where participants are encouraged to share and implement ideas via varied creative processes. To provide an environment that nurtures learning and exploration, fosters innovation and inspires creativity by varied disciplines that include designing, modifying, hacking, and building.

Bill Saturno I still like the simple " Build - Share - Teach" from the meeting.

Jeff Myer Here are links to what a few other spaces have put down as their mission statements. These may inspire some additional thoughts:

Jeff Myer At the last meeting we had also determined that a good group Motto would be Learn-Make-Share.
