Sleeping Giant - Blue-white circuit

Details

We could see Sleeping Giant off in the distance on our last hike (http://www.meetup.com/Connecticut-400-Blue-Blazed-trail-system-hikes/photos/15675752/#251147352), so for the second hike let's heed the calling and venture out to one of CT's most well known hiking spots - Sleeping Giant State Park!

Two of the most scenic trails in this system include the blue and white trails. These two trails interconnect, and can be hiked as part of a blue-white circuit.

This should be a cake walk compared to the last hike, so if you were in the group last time have no fear!

General trail info includes:

Length: 6 miles Difficulty: moderate to strenuous (steepest vertical incline is within 1st mile) Directions: can be found here (http://www.ct.gov/deep/cwp/view.asp?a=2716&q=325264#directions) Trail Map: can be found here (http://www.ct.gov/deep/lib/deep/stateparks/maps/sleepgiant.pdf) Fees: There is a parking fee of $9 for CT registered vehicles - more info here (http://www.ct.gov/deep/cwp/view.asp?a=2716&q=325082&deepNav_GID=1650) If anyone has never been to sleeping giant state park it is a must visit, and you should definitely come out and explore.
