VENUE CHANGE: Please note the venue location for our January .NET session is at the Central Library in downtown Kitchener, in Meeting Room D.
The new Diagnostic Tools window in Visual Studio 2015 unifies all of the main instruments into one developer-friendly experience. This presentation will look at Diagnostic Tools and explore how to use many of the existing and newly-added features. Through sample code, developers will learn how to get metrics on CPU Usage and Memory Usage while in debug mode. They will also see how to take code snapshots to analyze memory leaks. By the end of the talk, the audience will have a better understanding of the ways Visual Studio 2015 Diagnostic Tools can help make their .NET code more performant.
