This group is operated by the Research Foundation of the City University of New York (October 25, 2019)
While the Digital Council Meetup is primarily for social media managers across the university who hit "post" on any digital outlets relating to the City University of New York, everyone interested in digital marketing and social media are welcome to attend. CUNY students, faculty, content managers, producers and marketing department leads may also find this group helpful. We'd just need to know who you are so we can connect you with the right information!
Join us for the monthly Digital Council meeting, topic-specific technical workshops or informal meetups to get to know each other.
GOALS OF THIS MEETUP: Connect, support and celebrate CUNY students, staff and stakeholders on our respective outlets.
We can do this well when we:
- Share best practices in digital marketing across our campuses and programs to help us stay on message.
- Build in-person relationships with social media managers and content creators of the university so that we raise the quality of messaging. Meeting face to face can break the silos we are in.
- Be a space for candid conversation about challenges we face as social media managers across the university.
Officially making the move to Meetups thanks to CUNY’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development. It's been great to see the community grow from a small group of 35 in 2017 to a list of over 100 people!
