I'm keen to help people and I thought about using my own knowledge to do so :)
On average, a recruiter will spend less than 10 seconds looking at a CV before deciding if the candidate is of possible interest or not. CVs that are poorly presented, lacking key information or littered with spelling mistakes will be easily overlooked in favor of CVs that look and feel professional. This means that often candidates who can do the job are overlooked, simply because their CVs have let them down.
I would like to help people land more interviews (and hopefully this will get them jobs) by fixing their CVs!
I have been working as an HR in Dubai since 2008 (during which I had heavy exposure to recruitment), so I know what a good CV looks like.
I will organize meetups during which I can support people make their CVs better. Structure of the meetups will generally be as follows:
1) I will give a brief talk (few mins) about the characteristics of a good CV. 2) I will have a look at your CV and give you feedback on what has to be adjusted. 3) While I'm looking at the CV's of others and giving them feedback, you can spend time adjusting your CV.
P.S: The events are FREE of cost and there are no hidden charges. The meetups will be held at coffee shops so you just need to take care of your own order.
