Poems on Love, Death and The Mediterranean

An afternoon of poetry and music.

To love and die there is no better place than the Mediterranean. Homer knew it, Dante knew it, Cavafy knew it, Lorca knew it, Nazim Hikmet knew it, Shelley knew it, Elisabeth Barrett Browning, Oscar Wilde knew it, even Shakespeare kind of bloody well knew it. The Mediterranean shores are no place for watered-down life experiences; it's either plenitude of emotion or death.

Come join us, for a celebration of the reason weary sea and the polarities of human existence. Readings by 5 wonderous poets.

Featuring poets;

Gabriel Moreno, Stephanie Berger, Nicholas Adamski, Lisa Marie Basile, Rachel Bojadjis

    Hello everyone,

    We're very excited for tomorrow's poetry event. It'll be a very touching and meaningful afternoon. We prepared a great line up of poetry and music including some Federico Garcia Lorca and Nazim Hikmet poems (which will be dedicated to the miners who lost their lives in south west Turkey). If you're on facebook feel free to check this event created by the featuring poets: https://www.facebook.com/events/454284124702241/

    The show will start at 2pm, let's meet a little after 1.30pm. I will reserve a big table for us. It's a small space so you won't have any problem finding me. I'll be there after 1pm.

    Caffe Vivaldi is on 32 Jones street between Bleecker and West 4th, please feel free to contact me if you have hard time finding the place;[masked]

    Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,
    Ege
